Description

Seeking a Software Developer with expertise in .Net Development; T- SQL, MS SQL, OOP principles; N-tier and N-layered architecture, SQL Server, entity framework and unit testing within an Agile environment.

The successful candidate will be part of the information technology platform program/project under a federal government department in Canberra ACT.

As a Developer, you will

• Be working with product owners, software developers, data/system analysts and subject matter experts in the Information Management Systems team.
• Development within .NET, full stack software development and databases
• Analyse data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions
• Development using OOP principles, N-tier and N-layered architecture
• Liase with the program team, stakeholders and management team

Your main skills and experience

• Software developer experience:
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on software design experience.
  • In-depth software design experience including development and validation.
• Microsoft Stack experience:
  • Expert level knowledge of .NET, full stack software development and databases;
  • T-SQL and MS SQL; *OOP principles, N-tier and N-layered architecture;
  • .Net core, C#, webapi, SQL server, entity framework and unit testing.
• Analytical skills:
  • Analyse data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions;
  • Developing and maintaining a product backlog, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent communicator – written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong negotiation and liaison skills
• In facilitating workshops with business users and working effectively in a team environment;
• Presentation and training skills.

Nice-to-have skills and experience

• In Safe Agile framework.
• In Azure service fabric, Azure logic apps, Azure data catalogue, Azure vault, oauth 2, integration testing, continuous integration and automated deployment.
• In Power BI.

Other Requirements

• Australian citizen with a minimum Baseline clearance.
• Able to start on or before 1 May 2019.
• This is a 1 year contract engagement with a possible extension.
• Can work full time in Canberra ACT.
