The Opportunity

Canberra based Federal Govt client is seeking Program Planning Manager to join the Program Manager and Project Managers. The Program Planning Manager will shape the planning process, overseeing the split of work and development of work packages under each project in the PMO.

The Program Planning Manager will

• take responsibility for the Whole of Program delivery schedule.
• provide best practice (Prince2 and MSP) in developing products/ work packages, stage plans and other project artefacts.
• lead the Project Manager effort in refining and defining work required to deliver on the program directives.
• work with project schedulers to ensure that project plans are accurate and up-to-date, taking responsibility for whole of program deliver schedules.
• manage the Program operating model and assignment of Resources.
• work with Hub Managers to develop transition plans

• Australian citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance
• Can work full time and on site in Canberra office
• Estimate start of employment on 17 February 2020
• Contract is unti 30 June 2020
• Two contract extensions periods of six month each

Your skils and experience

• Previous relevant experience as a Program Planning Manager
• Prince2 and MSP
• Managing Program operating models
