Description

A Federal Gov't Department based in Canberra and Melbourne is seeking 3 Business Analyst to work as part of an agile delivery team to produce a SAS/PAS first Azure application that will enable the Department to modernise our approach to calculating Schools Entitlements.

The candidate will focus on user stories, user experience, and other requirements deliverables, but also assist with uplifting and maturing the processes and procedures in the agile space and transfer of knowledge and mentoring of existing staff.

Contract extensions One year extension: 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024 Subject to funds availability and delegate approval

Security clearance Must be an Australian Citizen with the Ability to obtain baseline clearance

Essential criteria

• Demonstrated Industry based knowledge and experience with delivery of complex large-scale applications and web services including:
  • Arranging workshops, liaising with Business and technical staff
  • Providing progress and status reports • Mentoring, supporting junior staff
  • Assist the Project Manager or Delivery Manager to schedule work for each Sprint
• Demonstrated ability to:
  • Liaison with Business teams to establish requirements
  • Cooperating with other team members to turn requirements into Features
• Cooperating with other team members to break down Features into User stories
• Participate in daily stand-ups or scrums
• Participate in demonstrations of completed work
• Contribute to reports relating to team project progress
• Demonstrated ability to:
  • Coordinating Requirements workshops with both Business and technical staff
  • Updating user stories and features in conjunction with technical staff Investigation of bugs raised during testing
  • Coordinating Sprint activities with other team members
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolset
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships in a challenging IT environment.
