Apply as a Senior Software Developer with expertise in the Back end and Python. And be part of an agile multi disciplinary team who will build a data layer and APIs for data success and business logic for a public web facing system.

The successful Candidate will

• be accountable of the knowledge transfer to the software team.
• mentoring APS developers.
• be tasking the software team with development of components within the solution.

Your main skills and experience

• in developing complex python systems using tools including pip and pyTest.
• in designing and implementing a transactional website.
• using external APIs (and their security models).
• designing and implementing RESTful APIs (and their security models).
• in producing detailed design documentation.
• AWS and serverless.

Nice if you have the following skills/experience

• delivery responsibility for the full life cycle of a major development effort, familiar with working with UXDs, BAs, architects, testers, deployers to achieve the result.
• using Swagger/OpenAPI 3.0 to document APIs.
• in document DBs including DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, GraphDBs.
• in ‘modern’ authentication, authorisation, audit as would be used for public web sites (OIDC, SAML).
• using AWS including Lambda, IAM, API gateway.

Other Requirements:

• Australian Citizen with a baseline security clearance.
• Able to work full time in Canberra ACT office.
• Can start employment on or before 30 May 2019.
• 6 months contract engagement.
