Description

Seeking 3 Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to support a cyber security program under a federal government agency in Brindabella Park, ACT.

Succesful candidate will:

  • help form part of an exciting new Project Team being stood up with a mix of existing staff and new specialists including a Project Manager, Technical Director, Business Analysts, Software Developers and Testers.
  • collaborate with security architects and technical leads.
  • build, test and deliver scalable, secure cloud (PaaS) infrastructure across a number of platforms.
Requirements

Your main skills and experience

  • Excellent analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Able to manage multiple, concurrent tasks with competing demands.
  • High attention to detail with solid documentation skills.
  • Leading/managing highly technical teams to achieve business outcomes under pressure.
  • Good client communication skills.
  • Expert public, private and hybrid cloud computing experience.
  • Architecting solutions leveraging Cloud technology including: AWS, Azure, Openstack, VMWare.
  • Supporting container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or CloudFoundry).
  • Sound understanding of networking, security and content distribution.
  • In non-SQL based technologies such a MongoDB, ELK, Splunk.
  • In an environment employing DevOps principles, methodologies and culture.
  • Automating and running cloud infrastructure.
  • Driving CI/CD and automation in cloud solutions.

Nice if you have experience in:

  • Linux or Windows administration experience (Red Hat Enterprise, Ubuntu or Debian) Experience using Ansible configuration management and working with git repositories.
  • Exposure to VMware vCenter and working with various VMware technologies.
  • Storage technologies (such as CEPH administration).
  • Administering Cloudera or other Hadoop systems.
  • Configuring and administering Splunk or ELK installations.
  • Writing SELinux policies.

Other Requirements

  • Australian Citizen with an active federal government Baseline security clearance.
  • Amenable for a 12 month contract engagement
  • Can start employment on or before 7 July 2019
  • Able to work full time and on site.
