Description

Canberra based Federal Govt Department Client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to work with the Department's export clearance stream to provide end-to-end technical guidance and expertise for an Azure based cloud implementation. We are using Microsoft Azure DevOps CI/CD to achieve our digital transformation goals.

The successful candidate will be required to liaise with other analysts, testers, architects, senior systems users, participating staff and external suppliers to efficiently deliver high quality work. Developing close working relationships with the various stakeholders.

• Work with internal stakeholders to define a strategy to migrate existing/legacy 3rd party processes to the new program.

Skills & Experience:

• Exceptional ability with business analysis skill set

• Understanding of Government systems & policies

• Demonstrable experience and capability working with a diverse range of users

• Design experience in system migration (on-prem/cloud).

• Experience in developing reporting and analytical tools using cloud-based Azure BI tools highly desirable

• Exposure to CI/CD using Azure DevOps.

• Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical, written and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with building, delivering and managing cloud IaaS environments using IaaS platforms, using Azure. • Deep understanding of Infrastructure, Network and Information Security considerations in cloud environments including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.

Location of work Australian Capital Territory/ Offsite

Length of contract 1 year (Extension of 1 X 12 months may be offered)

Must be Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain baseline clearance

Criteria

• Exceptional ability with business analysis skill set to support delivery of large scale cloud initiatives and system migration. Demonstrated experience in methodical requirements gathering / business gap analysis / deriving As Is and To Be; coupled with experience in business process mapping, workflow and data-flow mapping & documentation / wireframing
• The ability to engage develop strong relationships with stakeholders as required. Work in a collegiate/collaborative/inclusive manner to share knowledge and skills with team members/peers/management. Have a strong background in scaled agile framework, multi-disciplinary teams in a large-scale digital transformation with focus on
  • Azure-DevOps CI/CD,
  • Azure-DevOps,
  • System-migration (on-prem/cloud).
• Strong personal qualities including well developed communication skills, complex stakeholder relationship management; strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability; sound prioritisation, time management and organisational skills. Must have strong personal drive and commitment to delivering quality outcomes, and be a learner who is constantly researching and learning about new technologies/solutions.

• Professional and demonstrated design experience in cloud system migration using Azure DevOps in IT and/or Government is preferred.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure Certifications (Desirable)
• Degrees in IT or Software Engineering (Desirable)
