Description

The Monitoring Developer (EL1 Level) will use their in-depth knowledge of specific ICT Platforms to provide expert advice on the monitoring solutions. They will work closely with the key 3rd party suppliers, Elastic and Dynatrace, to ensure the provision of a robust infrastructure and that stakeholders have access to the information they need.

The Monitoring Developer exercises a considerable degree of independence, with decision-making substantially dependent on their high-level judgement and consideration of wider agency implications, with work being performed under the general guidance of senior management.

Primary Technologies: Elastic, Dynatrace, Openstack, OpenShift, Golang, Python, PowerShell, Redhat Linux, Windows Server.

Key Tasks/Duties may include some or all of the following:

• Develop integration solutions between systems and our Monitoring tools.
• Assist the monitoring team with a range of development work.
• Implement monitoring solutions using the enterprise tools suites.
• Work with organisational change processes.
• Document processes and skill share with the wider team

Working arrangements Candidates will be required to work onsite at Services Australia’s office fulltime.

Security clearance – While a Security Clearance is not required for this engagement at the time of issue of this RFQ, should Personnel subsequently deal with classified or otherwise sensitive information, a Security Clearance with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency may be required

Mandatory Criteria

1. Experience in the development and implementation of monitoring solutions.
2. Experience using their programming skills to deliver custom monitoring solutions while also documenting scripts/plugins.
3. Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: Golang, Python, or PowerShell.

Weighted Criteria

1. Experience with developing and deploying monitoring solutions to a range of infrastructure.
2. Experience monitoring/managing a Cisco-based network would be beneficial.
3. Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: Golang, Python, or PowerShell.
4. Experience supporting and administering RedHat and Windows servers.
5. Experience with the Elastic monitoring software.
