The Opportunity

Our client (Bank) is on a digital transformation journey that will transform their entire business and deliver new and improved outcomes to their customers and employees. They are investing in the latest digital technologies, processes, services and products and are in need of a Cloud Cyber Security Architect to work with their experienced Fintech team and international partners. The successful candidate will have the vision, knowledge and expertise to help reshape the Australian banking industry.

As a Cloud Cyber Security Architect, you will

• engage and collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, technology partners and platform engineers in order to understand the Bank's security requirements and design appropriate security architecture
• lead the development and design of security reference and solution architecture within the Bank's cloud environment and information systems
• help build a culture where team members understand how their individual contributions help drive positive outcomes through the adoption of secure solutions.

This is a fixed-term contract engagement for approximately 18 months. The successful candidate will work in Sydney office with a requirement to spend one night per week away.

Skills & experience needed

• Diploma or higher education qualification in a relevant field such as IT or information security
• Architecting security solutions on one or more public cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure) and applying the cloud native security services
• Designing cloud reference architecture, with a solid understanding of concepts such as Cloud Access Points, CI/CD, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, etc.
• Applying security patterns to PaaS and IaaS
• Understanding of the current state for secure public/private cloud, SIEM technologies, network, application and data security as well as secure cloud-based delivery models
• Strong knowledge across a range of security domains
• Strong technical background and knowledge of applications, networks, and operating systems to design security patterns from conceptual to component architecture

Desirable skills & experience

• Applying security patterns to Kubernetes, containers and PaaS
• Understand identity concepts – SAML, JWT, Oauth etc.
• Cloud platform security certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer or AWS Certified Security Specialty
• Information security certifications such as CISSP, SABSA or CCSP
• Designing enterprise identity access management and identity governance solutions
• Relevant experience in the financial services industry
