An excellent opportunity for an Application Developer to work with a team within a Federal Govt Department in Barton ACT. Successful candidate to extend an existing analytics platform, extending APIs and building on an established framework to deliver a high-end data analytics capability, using a combination of Elastic Search/Lucene, Java APIs, Javascript and Python machine learning and geospatial mapping.

Your main skills and experience

• Minimum 3 years of Java API development.
• With at least 3 years of Python.
• ElasticSearch/Lucene programming and maintenance.
• Planning, prioritising and managing workloads in an Agile development environment.
• Tertiary qualification in IT, Software Engineering or Computer Science.

For your to qualify

• Must be an Australian citizen.
• Ability to obtain negative vetting level 2 clearance.
• Estimate start of employment is 1st October 2019.
• Amenable for 12 month contract with an option to extend up to 36 months.
• Can work full time and on site in Barton ACT.
