Surry Hills NSW based Federal Gov't Agency is seeking 2 experienced Test Engineers to join their Data Services Team, who have been working hard for the last 12 months to deliver both a state of the art Analytics Platform and Enterprise Data Warehouse. Successful candidates will assist in the delivery of the agency's strategy and for the next 12 months, the team will:

• Design an implementing a number of automated regression suits across our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Analytics Platform.
• Implement a test planning and execution framework using XRAY.
• Automate the validation of our EDW against our CRM platform using technologies like Selenium.
• Leverage the testing assets that we have delivered so we can utilize the value of these to our organization.
• Enable a fail fast methodology across our Branch to shorten the feedback loop and increase the delivery cadance.
• Build a Quality Assurance capability across the agency and branch.

For you to qualify

• Australian citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Amenable to work full time and on site in Surry Hills NSW.
• Estimate start of employment is 4 Nov 2019.
• Contract engagement for the next 12 months.

Your main skills & experience

• Understand the importance of automation in various phases of the SDLC lifecycle: planning, designing, development, testing, deployment, release.
• Leverage relationships with stakeholders to delivery business value and high quality products.
• In testing and proficiency with a QA methodology (ISTQB preferred).
• Passionate about implementing test automation solutions (Selenium, Cucumber, Postman).
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics and arrive at sound analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable writing advanced SQL queries.
• Has a positive contemporary attitude to people with disability.

Desirable skills & experience

• Business Analysis – to gather and document requirements and designs.
• Working knowledge with any of the following technologies:
  • ETL/Data warehousing
  • in other forms of development or full stack
  • SAS, Teradata, Python, RStudio – VMWare, Linux and Windows
  • Webservers: NGINX
  • Atlassian suite (on-prem): JIRA, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye
  • Frameworks: Django, React, Selenium, NodeJS – Configuration Management: Ansible
  • Testing Tools: XRAY, Fitiness, DBFIT, jUnit, ngUnit, Selenium
