Description

Canberra based Federal Gov't Department is seeking a Cyber Security Technical Professional to focused on implementation of cyber security throughout government. Successful candidates will:

• Work with a small team as part of the Department's Protect and Assure branch.
• Provide expert advice and assistance to the Department and its partners.
• Have expert knowledge in technical components of cyber security and able to apply and expand those skills to a wide range of situations.

Your main skills and experience

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Technical Security.
• Working with a security focus on enterprise software and systems such as Active Directory, Windows and Linux systems.
• Implementing one or more of the Essential Eight mitigation strategies.
• Assessing the cyber security posture of Windows and other systems as part of vulnerability assessment.
• Scripting to automate system administration or vulnerability assessment tasks.
• Working with Cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, or Office 365.

Nice if you have skills and experience in

• Penetration testing.
• Reverse Engineering.
• Security monitoring.

Other Requirements

• Australian Citizen with a minimum Baseline security clearance.
• Amenable for a 12 month contract engagement.
• Can start employment immediately.
• Able to work full time in Canberra ACT office.
