Description

A federal government agency in Canberra is seeking a Sr. Test Analyst/ Test Lead to plan and execute software and data migration testing for departmental systems.

The successful candidate will:

• work with a team of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, PM and Test Team.
• create, review and approve test artifacts to be used for software development and data migration testing (e.g. test strategy, defect model, test plan, test cases, defect management plan, test summary report).
• plan, script and execute test phases including Integration Test, System Test, UAT, Regression, Data Migration and BVT.
• document and report to the project manager and program manager.

Main skills and experience:

• 5+ years senior test analyst / test lead experience with a solid understanding of structured test methodologies and processes.
• to lead testing and/or be only tester on a project.
• strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience.
• with using test management tools (e.g. JIRA, ALM).
• using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• in defect logging and resolution.
• strong SQL/SOAPUI experience.
• excellent communicator (written and verbal).

Other Requirements:

• Australian citizen.
• Able to provide a Police check, if selected for an interview.
• Can work full time in Braddon ACT.
• Amenable for a 12 month contract engagement with possible 6 – 12 months extension.
• Able to start employment in 2 to 4 weeks once the role is offered.
